Brief introduction of Russian Academy of Engineering

The Russian Academy of Engineering (hereinafter referred to as RAE or Academy) is the legal successor of the former Soviet Academy of engineering. It was formally established on May 13, 1990 with the direct participation of the former Soviet Academy of Sciences, the former Soviet State Council for science and technology, the former Soviet Association for science and industry, the former Soviet Association for science and engineering, as well as 20 professional associations and government ministries. On December 24, 1991, the Ministry of justice of the Russian Federation registered the "Russian Academy of Engineering" as a Russian public organization (Registration No. 512). According to the relevant provisions on science and national science and technology policy of the Russian Federation, RAE successfully passed the national certification of the Russian Federation in 2001 and 2004.

Boris Vladimirovich Gusev was elected as the first president of the former Soviet Academy of engineering and the Russian Academy of engineering. The Honorary Presidents of the Russian Academy of engineering are academicians of the former Soviet Academy of Sciences (i.e. the later Russian Academy of Sciences), including a.u. ishlinski, i.a. glibov, Bo Ye Barton, Ko v. frorov and academician Ni Bo ravirov, chairman of the former Soviet national science and Technology Commission. They have provided important help in the process of establishing RAE of the Russian Academy of engineering.

At the end of 1991, 338 academicians and communication academicians were elected from the 10 former Soviet republics, which laid a solid foundation for the future development of the Academy. At present, RAE of Russian Academy of engineering has 1350 outstanding scientists, engineers and managers of large-scale production enterprises, making outstanding contributions to the development of science and Engineering in various economic fields. Among them, 100 foreign academicians from 30 countries around the world (currently about 50 Chinese academicians, including Song Jian, Xu Kuangdi, former president of the Chinese Academy of engineering, and Li Xiaohong, current president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering) have been recruited. In the early days of its establishment, the former Soviet Academy of Engineering (RAE) carried out active work in strengthening the connection between science and production, aiming to solve the problem of accelerating the adaptation of basic research results to the real economy.

On August 22, 1991, according to the order No. 1178 of the State Science and Technology Commission of the former Soviet Union and the resolution on "the Soviet Academy of Engineering", more than 100 scientific and production associations, research institutions and design bureaus were handed over to the Academy for scientific guidance and management. In many concerned industries, such as: large machinery manufacturing, metallurgy and mining enterprises and companies have become group members of the Engineering Institute; The organizational activities of regional organizations (branches, departments and centers) have been further strengthened, and 10 major project management directions have been formulated.

At present, under the guidance of scientific methodology of RAE of Russian Academy of engineering, there are about 700 group members and 46 regional engineering and technical institutions. Russian Academy of engineering is actively carrying out scientific research in 34 industries in the engineering field. This makes it possible for the academy to carry out scientific and technological activities worth more than 1 billion rubles. In the past year, it is important to form a team of high-quality scientists and develop more than 4000 new technologies. During the existence of the former Soviet Academy of engineering and the Russian Academy of engineering, more than 5000 monographs and textbooks have been published; Obtained about 3000 patents; Their research achievements have won awards from more than 70 countries in the world, 270 awards from the government of the Russian Federation and 19 international awards and awards. More than 100 academicians of the Chinese Academy of engineering have won national awards, and about 30 academicians have been awarded the title of "honorary scientist of the Russian Federation".

The work of the Russian Academy of engineering has been positively affirmed and supported by the Russian Academy of Sciences, the country's highest scientific institution. From the beginning of its establishment to various stages of its development, the leading business activities of RAE of Russian Academy of engineering are closely related to academic science, whether it is the Council of elders of the former Soviet Academy of engineering or the current RAE of Russian Academy of engineering. At present, the Council of elders of the Academy of engineering is still led by the largest scientist of hydraulic engineering and academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Yushi Vasiliev.

Development of biomass gasification to syngas technology in the newly designed reactor: the treatment of biomass in the catalytic hydrocracking reactor can effectively use natural biomass to produce combustible gas, heat energy and electric energy, making the environment safer. RAE not only plays an active public role in the technical development of China, but also carries out rigorous teaching work in the reform of higher professional schools, such as: Russian engineering distance education (more than 1/3 of RAE academicians directly carry out education in the field of professional education). The direct proposal on the direction of assessing the development of national and vocational education will be submitted to the Executive Committee on modernization of the general office of the president of the Russian Federation.
